Job summary

Sazerac Company is seeking a Market Development Representative to drive growth in our off-premise account portfolio. You will partner with grocers, c-stores, and liquor stores to expand distribution and build brand momentum across our diverse spirits line.

You’ll lead in-store programs, leverage trends to educate customers, and collaborate with distributors and internal teams to achieve volume and promotional goals, all while maintaining a strong focus on compliance, travel, and flexible hours.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• Experience: Minimum 1 year of professional field sales experience in alcohol-beverage or CPG industries. New grads: sales/marketing internship or sales role or sales competition experience.
• Results Driven: Proven volume achievements and ability to deliver on distribution and retail promotional goals.
• Technical Savvy: Demonstrated use of sales data analytics and tools to drive results and identify trends.
• Mobility: Valid driver's license and travel within territory.
• Schedule: Flexibility to work non-traditional hours, including evenings and weekends.
• Location: Live in or near the territory.
• Expenses: Cover ordinary business expenses that will be reimbursed.
• Compliance: Obtain a solicitor’s permit in any state.

Responsibilities

• Craft solutions to boost business for assigned accounts.
• Lead in-store selling, marketing, and account execution with distributors.
• Educate customers on trends to grow brand share.
• Drive volume objectives for core brands.
• Implement programs for distribution, merchandising, displays, and promotions.
• Build rapport with customers by understanding their needs.
• Coordinate with customers, wholesalers and internal teams.
• Monitor KPIs to reach goals.
