Job summary

Life Care Centers of America is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist to provide direct rehab care in speech therapy for patients referred by physicians. The role emphasizes adherence to all applicable laws and Life Care standards, with opportunities to collaborate on interdisciplinary teams.

Ideal candidates hold an MS/MA in Speech-Language Pathology, ASHA CCCs or CFY eligibility, and current state licensure. New grads welcome; CPR must be current.

Qualifications

• MS or MA in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
• ASHA CCCs or eligible for CFY and/or meeting credentialing criteria
• Current state license in good standing
• 1 year experience preferred; new grads welcome to apply
• CPR certification at hire or during orientation and maintained during employment

Responsibilities

• Establish, assess, and modify realistic, measurable goals
• (SLP CCC only) oversee and evaluate care given by SLP CFYs
• (SLP CFY only) follow speech therapy treatment plans under supervision
• Chart appropriately and timely
• Utilize therapy software appropriately and accurately
• Exhibit excellent customer service and a positive attitude towards patients
• Communicate and function productively on an interdisciplinary team
• Sit, stand, bend, lift, push, pull, stoop, walk, reach, and move intermittently during working hours
• Read, write, speak, and understand the English language
