Job summary

Life Care Centers of America is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide direct rehab in speech therapy to patients referred by physicians. Requires MS/MA in Speech-Language Pathology, ASHA CCCs or CFY eligibility, and current state licensure. One year experience preferred; new grads welcome.

CPR must be current. Position emphasizes adherence to Life Care standards, collaboration with care teams, and ongoing professional development in a post-acute setting.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited program in speech therapy (minimum MS or MA SLP).
• ASHA CCCs OR eligible for CFY to earn CCCs and maintain credentialing.
• Currently registered/licensed in the applicable State with active license.
• One year experience preferred; new grads welcome to apply.
• CPR certification upon hire or during orientation; must remain current.

Responsibilities

• Establish, assess, and modify goals that are realistic, measurable, timely, and functional.
• (SLP CCC) oversee and evaluate care given by SLP CFYs.
• (SLP CFY) follow treatment plans under supervision and in line with guidelines.
• Chart appropriately and timely.
• Utilize therapy software accurately.
• Provide excellent customer service and a positive attitude toward patients.
• Assist in the evacuation of patients.
• Maintain dependable, regular attendance.
• Communicate effectively on an interdisciplinary team.
• Comply with safety, patient rights, and sanitation standards.
