Job summary

Life Care Centers of America seeks a Speech Language Pathologist to provide direct rehab care in speech therapy for patients referred by physicians in our skilled nursing facilities. The role emphasizes collaborative care with an interdisciplinary team and compliant practice.

Requirements include a MS/MA in Speech-Language Pathology, ASHA CCCs or CFY eligibility, current state licensure, CPR certification, and 1 year of experience preferred; new grads are welcome.

Qualifications

• MS/MA in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
• ASHA CCCs or eligible for CFY to pursue CCCs.
• Currently licensed in the applicable state and maintain licensure.
• CPR certification required or obtained during orientation.
• 1 year experience preferred; new grads welcome to apply.

Responsibilities

• Participates in community health matters/projects as appropriate.
• Liaises with patients, families, and other departments to plan patient needs.
• Demonstrates good body mechanics at all times.
• Possesses ability to make independent decisions when warranted.
• Follows guidelines and policies governing post-acute care facilities.
