Rochester Public School District #535 is seeking a Long-Term Substitute Speech-Language Pathologist from approximately April 13 to May 22, 2026, serving at Longfellow Elementary (0.8 FTE) and Overland Elementary (0.2 FTE).
Applicants should hold a Minnesota PELSB license in the appropriate area and ASHA CCC. Prior experience in urban, multicultural education is desirable, with a focus on ongoing professional development and student-centered practices.
1.0 LTS (Long-Term Sub) from approximately April 13 - May 22, 2026
Longfellow Elementary School (.8 FTE) and Overland Elementary School (.2 FTE)
Traveling teachers must have reliable transportation. Mileage reimbursement available.
Prorated based upon hire date; based on level of education and full years of licensed teaching experience.
Current Minnesota PELSB license in appropriate area preferred and/or required: Speech Language Pathologist. Applicant must also hold a current ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence card. RPS makes an effort to hire teachers with a full standard license in the assigned subject and/or grade level.
Prior successful experience in urban, multicultural education desirable. Demonstrates continued professional development through coursework, research, peer collaboration, and/or job-embedded staff development. Working knowledge of the subject matter, classroom management techniques, current researched best practices and strategies, as well as students' learning styles and needs, both academic and affective.
