Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year in Specimen TechIII/related role.
• Laboratory experience in production environment preferred.
• Medical terminology applicable to clinical lab preferred.

Responsibilities

• Primary point-of-contact for resolution of specimen problems and communication with internal departments to avoid delays.
• May call clients to obtain resolution of problems.
• Interpret specimen tracking data using LIS, logs, and front-end automation.
• Handle samples with limited stability and issues impacting client/patient care.
• Enter TIQs/TNPs and process/mistakes in documentation.
• Escalate trending problems to management as appropriate.
