Job summary

Quest Diagnostics is seeking a Problem Resolution Specimen Technician in Chantilly, VA, working Tuesday to Saturday, 1:00 PM to 9:30 PM. The role focuses on identifying and solving issues in specimen testing and reporting, collaborating with processing and technical departments.

Responsibilities include resolving common specimen problems, interpreting tracking data, and ensuring compliance with SOPs. Ideal candidates have lab experience, strong communication, and a Vascular/Clinical lab

Qualifications

Must have strong written and verbal communication skills.
Experience with specimen processing and SOPs.
Knowledge of medical and laboratory terminology is preferred.

Responsibilities

Primary point-of-contact for resolution of common specimen problems and communication with internal departments to avoid testing delays and/or service failures.
May be responsible for calling clients to obtain resolution of problems.
Demonstrates competency of job duties and SOPs related to Specimen Processing problem resolution.
Interprets specimen tracking data using lab systems and front-end automation to expedite testing and reporting.
Identifies and escalates trending problems to department management as appropriate.
