Job summary

Quest Diagnostics Incorporated in Lewisville, TX is seeking a Problem Resolution Specimen Technician. The role supports processing and testing laboratory specimens with proficiency in Specimen TechIII duties. Shift: Tuesday to Saturday, 5:30 AM to 2:00 PM.

Pay range starts at $22.57 per hour, with additional bonuses possible based on performance. The position requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and familiarity with MS Office; candidates with production lab experience and strong

Qualifications

Strong written and verbal communication skills required.
Ability to interpret specimen tracking data and lab information systems.
Experience with entering TIQs/TNPs and handling mislabeled specimens.
Familiarity with SOPs related to Specimen Processing and problem resolution.

Responsibilities

Primary point-of-contact for resolution of common specimen problems with internal departments.
May call clients to obtain resolution of problems.
Demonstrates competency of SOPs related to Specimen Processing problem resolution.
Interprets specimen tracking data using logs, LIS, front-end automation, and instrumentation.
Ensures compliance with test ordering, reporting, add-on tests, reflex tests, and custom panels.
Retrieves specimens from storage and investigates sample adequacy and stability.
