Job summary

Sumitomo Pharma America, Inc. is seeking a dynamic Territory Sales Manager – Specialty to represent our products in the assigned U.S. territory. You will drive sales objectives, expand market share, and build trusted clinical partnerships with physicians and healthcare teams.

The role requires 5+ years in pharmaceutical sales, a bachelor’s degree, and strong knowledge of disease states. Expect extensive travel (60–80%), and a merit-based rewards structure aligned with performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field is required.
• 5+ years of pharmaceutical sales experience with product and disease state knowledge.
• Proven top-ranked sales performance, ideally top 25% nationwide.
• Preferred: Experience in Urology.
• Preferred: Experience with a pharmaceutical launch.
• Knowledge of market access formulary positioning is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage the assigned territory and achieve sales objectives.
• Establish deep relationships with customers based on clinical and market knowledge.
• Increase market share by closing new business in targeted accounts.
• Travel 60–80% of the time, including overnight stays as needed.
• Maintain compliant administrative tasks: call reporting, expense reports, training modules, and business plans.
