Job summary

Amgen in the United States is seeking Specialty Representative or Senior Specialty Representative to connect with medical professionals, promote Amgen products, and navigate the payer environment. The role emphasizes delivering clinical knowledge, implementing marketing strategy, and building relationships to drive product access.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree OR Associate’s degree and 4 years of Sales experience OR High school diploma/GED and 6 years of Sales experience.
• Senior: Bachelor’s degree and 3 years of sales experience and/or clinical experience in healthcare / scientific field that is not sales related; OR Associate degree and 6 years of sales experience and/or clinical experience in healthcare / scientific field that is not sales related; OR High school diploma / GED and 8 years of sales experience and/or clinical experience in healthcare / scientific field that is not sales related.
• Preferred qualifications include sales/marketing/clinical experience in pharma/biotech/healthcare; leadership under pressure; oncology/cardiology/etc.; advanced influencing and relationship-building; local market knowledge; Life Sciences or Business Administration degree; adaptability with core competencies.

Responsibilities

• Provide current and comprehensive knowledge of Amgen products to medical professionals and drive appropriate utilization.
• Lead territory sales by delivering branded messages, conducting programs, and achieving/exceeding targets.
• Develop relationships to manage accounts, ensure product access, and resolve reimbursement issues.
• Provide feedback on marketing strategy and develop territory plans with the District Manager.
• Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and grow as a Specialty Representative.
• Demonstrate passion for products and maintain brand focus across the sales cycle.
