Job summary

Amgen is seeking a Specialty Representative or Senior Specialty Representative to act as the primary customer contact, delivering clinical knowledge of Amgen products to medical professionals while navigating the payer environment.

The role involves implementing marketing strategy, promoting products, and achieving territory sales targets through in-person and virtual engagements among healthcare professionals, with responsibilities across account management and contract discussions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree OR Associate's degree plus 4 years of Sales experience OR high school diploma plus 6 years of Sales experience.
• Senior: Bachelor's degree with 3 years of sales or clinical experience in healthcare / scientific field that is not sales related OR Associate degree with 6 years of such experience OR high school diploma with 8 years of such experience.
• Preferred: experience in pharmaceutical, biotech, diagnostics, healthcare insurance, pharmacy services, medical devices or related sales roles; 3+ years for Senior Specialist role.

Responsibilities

• Provide current and comprehensive knowledge of Amgen's products and communicate clinical benefits to medical professionals to drive appropriate utilization.
• Lead territory sales through branded messaging, planned programs, and educational events; achieve/exceed sales targets via in-person and virtual engagement.
• Develop relationships to manage accounts, tailor discussions to customer needs, ensure product access, and resolve reimbursement issues.
• Provide feedback on marketing strategy and territory plans with the District Manager; analyze sales activities and effectiveness.
• Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and grow within the Specialty Representative role.
• Demonstrate passion for Amgen products and uphold company values across the sales cycle; maintain focus on serving patients.
