Special Education Teacher - 2025 - 2026 School Year

Join us at River Rock Academy as a Special Education Teacher for the 2025-2026 school year. Located in Cressona, PA, we are a Pennsylvania Department of Education Approved Licensed Academic School dedicated to empowering students in Grades 1-12 through specialized educational services.

About the Role

As a full-time teacher, you will work Monday through Friday with no nights or weekends. Responsibilities

• Develop and implement IEPs, lesson plans, and instructional strategies tailored to individual student needs.
• Maintain documentation and submit progress reports and evaluations timely.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, parents, and staff to support student progress.
• Manage classrooms effectively, implementing behavior management strategies and crisis interventions.
• Conduct assessments, monitor progress, and document behavior data.
• Ensure safety, confidentiality, and compliance with policies, assisting students with self-care as needed.

Minimum Qualifications

• Active PA teaching certification (Private Academic Certificate, Level I or II Special Education Certification K-12).
• Alternatively, a bachelor's degree with at least six credit hours in special education for a Temporary Private Academic Certificate.
• PA license must be in place by August 1, 2025.
• Legal authorization to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
