Soliant Education is seeking a certified Special Education Teacher to work remotely with a homebound student in New York with severe autism. This is a VOCO (virtual/remote) role for the 2025-2026 school year, providing specialized instruction to meet the student's academic and developmental needs from the safety and comfort of your own workspace.

Responsibilities
  • Provide individualized instruction aligned with the student's IEP goals
  • Develop and implement lesson plans tailored to the student's cognitive and behavioral needs
  • Collaborate with parents, therapists, and related service providers
  • Maintain progress monitoring and data tracking in compliance with district and state regulations
  • Utilize virtual learning platforms and communication tools effectively
  • Modify curriculum and strategies as needed to support severe autism
Requirements
  • Valid New York State Special Education Certification (required)
  • Previous experience working with students with severe autism strongly preferred
  • Must have prior experience with remote instruction/teletherapy or be tech-savvy to adapt quickly
  • Strong communication, documentation, and problem-solving skills
  • Comfortable using online platforms, virtual whiteboards, and assistive technology
