Job summary

Avondale Elementary School District seeks a Certified Teacher, Special Education Resource, to provide quality classroom instruction aligned with Arizona standards and district policies, while collaborating with master and mentor teachers.

The role requires an AZ teaching certificate, ADE certification, and endorsements in SEI/ESL/Bilingual; background checks and IVP fingerprint clearance are required. BLE and ESL endorsements are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required.
• Valid Arizona teaching certificate.
• Meets Arizona Department of Education certification requirements.
• Background check upon employment required.
• IVP Fingerprint clearance card required.
• Minimum Provisional SEI/ESL or Bilingual Endorsement.
• BLE Endorsement preferred.
• ESL Endorsement preferred.

Responsibilities

• Participate in the Teacher Advancement Program (TAP) accountability system.
• Attend ongoing professional growth groups.
• Collaborate with mentor and master teachers to enhance teaching expertise.
• Assist in lesson planning and align instruction with district curricula and state standards.
• Develop an Individual Growth Plan (IGP).
• Use assessment data to monitor progress toward school goals.
• Maintain records and communicate with students and families as appropriate.
• Provide a safe, organized learning environment and manage behavior accordingly.
