Job summary

The Avondale Elementary School District is seeking a Certified Teacher - Special Education Resource to provide quality classroom instruction aligned with Arizona standards. The role emphasizes collaboration with master and mentor teachers to enhance instructional practice and student achievement.

You will participate in TAP, engage in ongoing professional growth, and contribute to designing individualized education plans while maintaining clear communication with staff and families.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid Arizona teaching certificate and meet ADE certification requirements.
• Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree.
• Must pass a background check and possess a valid IVP Fingerprint clearance card.
• Provisional SEI/ESL or Bilingual Endorsement required.
• BLE Endorsement preferred.
• ESL Endorsement preferred.

Responsibilities

• Participate in the TAP teacher instructionally focused accountability system.
• Attend ongoing applied professional growth groups (clusters).
• Collaborate with mentor and master teachers to enhance teacher expertise.
• Collaborate on lesson planning and develop expertise in all areas of instruction with mentors.
• Develop an Individual Growth Plan (IGP).
• Use assessments to monitor progress toward school goals; align to standards.
• Maintain records and communicate with staff effectively.
