Job summary

Wayzata Public Schools ISD 284 is seeking an Administrative Professional/Paraprofessional to assist Special Education licensed staff with academic adaptations and students’ self-care needs. The role may be in general or special education classrooms or community settings, with emphasis on students facing emotional and behavioral challenges.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma, be flexible across settings, and be able to assist in eating and toileting.

Qualifications

Must have a High School diploma; Highly Qualified Status required; 2 year post-secondary training preferred.
Must be flexible and willing to work in a variety of settings with a variety of students and staff.
May need to lift, pull and move a minimum of 50 pounds.
Must be willing to assist in the eating and toileting needs of students.
Must maintain data privacy and confidentiality for all students.
Computer skills preferred.

Responsibilities

Assist Special Education licensed staff with academic adaptations, self-care and social/behavioral needs for students in special education.
Support may be in general education, special education, or community settings.
Experience working with students with emotional/behavioral challenges is a plus.
