Qualifications

• Paraprofessional Educator certificate required by PSC.
• Education credentials meet Georgia PSC requirements.
• Experience in licensed child care preferred.

Responsibilities

• Adapt classroom activities under supervision to support IEP goals.
• Administer first aid and basic medical tasks as directed.
• Administer tests, homework and make-up work for teachers.
• Assist medically fragile students with daily needs.
• Support students with disabilities in grooming and daily living.
• Communicate with teachers to assess progress and implement IEPs.
• Implement data collection and behavioral plans under supervision.
• Monitor students to maintain a safe learning environment.
• Maintain records, attendance, and daily logs for teachers.
• Provide instruction in small and large groups to reinforce objectives.
• Respond to emergencies and apply de-escalation techniques as trained.
• Assist with hallways, lunchroom, and bus duty as assigned.
