Job summary

ChanceLight Behavioral Health, Therapy, & Education is seeking an Instructional Aide to support students in grades K-12 within a special education program. You will collaborate with teachers to implement IEPs and tailor instruction to each learner.

This role emphasizes patience, empathy, and strong communication as you assist with behavioral interventions, documentation, and community-based activities, helping students build essential skills and confidence.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with basic skills tested.
• Associate degree or higher in education or related field preferred.
• Paraprofessional credential or in process.
• Ability to obtain crisis management certification.
• Experience supporting children in special education or behavioral health settings.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Familiarity with instructional technology and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with teachers to create a supportive learning environment.
• Provide individualized instruction and behavior interventions.
• Monitor students during lessons and track progress.
• Communicate with teachers and families about student needs.
• Maintain confidentiality of student records.
• Assist with documentation and observation reporting.
• Support development of life, academic and social skills.
