Job summary

ChanceLight Behavioral Health, Therapy, & Education is seeking a 1:1 Instructional Aide to support a student in Grade 10, providing direct, individualized assistance in classroom and community settings. You will help implement the student’s IEP, tailor instruction to learning needs, and track progress to promote skill development and academic success.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Associate degree or higher in education or related field preferred.
• Paraprofessional credential preferred.
• Ability to obtain crisis management training certification.
• Experience supporting children, preferably in special education or behavioral health.
• Ability to work with diverse student needs and learning styles.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with classroom teachers to create a supportive learning environment.
• Deliver individualized instruction and behavioral interventions on-site and in community settings.
• Monitor and document student progress and adjust strategies as needed.
• Maintain confidentiality of student records and communicate with families and staff.
• Support development of student goals and IEP implementation.
• Prepare behavioral reports and activity logs, with timely documentation.
