Job summary

ChanceLight, Inc. is hiring an Instructional Aide to support students in Grades K-12 within a Special Education program. The role involves providing personalized supervision and instruction in classrooms and community settings.

You will collaborate with teachers to implement IEP goals, monitor progress, and document student behavior while upholding confidentiality and safety standards. A valid CA driver’s license and crisis management training are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent w/ passage of basic skills test.
• Associate degree or higher in education or related field preferred.
• CA driver license required or ability to obtain.
• Certification in crisis management training preferred.
• Paraprofessional credential preferred.
• Experience supporting children, esp. in special education or behavioral health.
• Experience with learning disabilities and autism spectrum disorders helpful.
• Ability to drive with students in a company van.
• Calm, quick decision making in emergencies.
• Strong motivation and communication with students.
• Advanced written/oral communication, organization, and problem solving.
• Tech-savvy with MS Office, database entry, and basic office equipment.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with teachers to foster a supportive learning environment.
• Deliver individualized instruction and behavioral interventions.
• Supervise students during lessons and in community settings.
• Track progress and report to teachers on student outcomes.
• Document student behaviors and performance accurately and timely.
• Maintain confidentiality of student records and information.
