Job summary

ChanceLight Behavioral Health, Therapy, & Education is seeking an Instructional Aide to support students in grades 6–12, collaborating with teachers to implement IEP goals in classroom and community settings. The role focuses on personalized instruction, progress tracking, and fostering essential skills within a supportive environment.

You will help monitor student behavior, assist with documentation, and contribute to ensuring successful course completion while working toward positive

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate degree or higher preferred in education or related field.
• Paraprofessional or similar credential required or in process.
• Ability to obtain crisis management training certification.
• Experience with instruction/support in special education settings.
• Strong communication and classroom supervision skills.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with teachers to create a supportive learning environment.
• Provide personalized instruction and behavioral support on-site and in community settings.
• Monitor students during lessons and support completion of coursework.
• Track progress and communicate with teachers about student needs.
• Support and mentor students in community, vocational, and social skills.
• Maintain accurate documentation of behaviors and performance.
• Contribute to accreditation and school-wide improvement activities.
• Communicate with families and staff regarding student needs.
