Job summary

ChanceLight, Inc. seeks a Substitute Instructional Aide to support students in a Special Education program at Spectrum Center Schools and Programs. You’ll assist with individualized supervision, reinforce instruction, and help implement IEP goals across classroom and community settings.

You will work closely with teachers to monitor progress, document behaviors, and help students develop academic, social, and independent living skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent w/ passage of basic skills test.
• Associate degree or higher in education or a closely related field preferred.
• Ability to obtain and maintain certification in crisis management training.
• CA driver license required or ability to obtain.
• Paraprofessional/teacher assistant credential preferred.
• Experience with children with learning disabilities or autism preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver individualized supervision and targeted instruction to assigned students.
• Collaborate with educators to implement each student’s IEP/ITP.
• Reinforce core classroom instruction in classroom and community settings.
• Track student progress and communicate observations to staff.
• Maintain confidential student records and reports.
