Job summary

Chicago Public Schools in Chicago is hiring a Case Manager to support students with disabilities under IDEA and Section 504, leading IEP/504 conferences and ensuring timely processing of evaluations and parental notices.

You will coordinate referrals for assessments, arrange services per IEP, collaborate with families and staff, and help implement MTSS within the school, aligning with CPS goals.

Qualifications

• Two or more years of experience in special education.
• Knowledge of federal and state laws regarding the delivery of special education and related services.
• Ability to coordinate IEP/504 processes and timelines.
• Experience working with diverse language and cultural backgrounds.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the local school district representative at required meetings under IDEA and as 504 Coordinator.
• Chair IEP and 504 conferences and finalize plans in SSM.
• Ensure timelines and parental notices are provided in the native language where feasible.
• Coordinate referrals for evaluations and arrange related services as per IEP/504.
