Job summary

Chicago Public Schools seeks a Case Manager to coordinate special education services in alignment with IDEA and Section 504 requirements. The role serves as district representative, monitors timelines, and ensures proper parental communication.

You will lead IEP/504 conferences and collaborate with school staff and families to implement plans. Responsibilities include coordinating evaluations, arranging services, and maintaining data in SSM.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in special education or Master’s in educational administration.
• PEL in Special Education (PK-Age 21) or School Support Personnel endorsement with supervisory endorsement.

Responsibilities

• Serve as district representative at required IDEA meetings and as 504 Coordinator.
• Ensure IDEA and Section 504 timelines are met and parent notices are provided in native language where feasible.
• Coordinate referrals for Full and Individual Evaluations (FIE) and related assessments.
• Chair IEP and 504 conferences and act as District Representative.
• Ensure IEP/504 data is entered into SSM and finalize plans with parents/guardians.
