Job summary

Chicago Public Schools is seeking a Case Manager to support students with disabilities under IDEA and Section 504. The role acts as district representative at required meetings, coordinates evaluations, ensures compliance, and collaborates with principals and families to implement IEPs and 504 plans.

Responsibilities include coordinating referrals for evaluations, arranging services, ensuring timely data entry in the SSM system, and guiding staff on regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in Special Education or Master's in Educational Administration.
• Valid Professional Educator License (PEL) in Special Education or School Support Personnel with supervisory endorsement.
• Two+ years of experience in special education.

Responsibilities

• Serve as district representative at required IDEA meetings and as 504 Coordinator.
• Chair IEP and 504 conferences and ensure qualitative/quantitative data informs service decisions.
• Coordinate referrals for Full and Individual Evaluations (FIE) and ensure timely process (60 school days).
• Ensure parental notices/consents are provided in native language where feasible and placed in student files.
• Enter all relevant student data into the SSM system and arrange related services per IEP/504.
