Chicago Public Schools seeks a Case Manager to coordinate special education services under IDEA and Section 504, serving as the district representative and IEP/504 chair. You will ensure compliance, data-driven decision making, and timely documentation across schools.

This role supports diverse learners in collaboration with administrators and families. The position requires a Bachelor’s or Master’s in special education (or administrative).

Formación

• Completion of a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in special education or a Master’s degree in educational administration.
• A valid Professional Educator License (PEL) in one of the following areas: Special Education (PK-Age 21) endorsement or School Support Personnel endorsement with a supervisory endorsement
• Two or more years of experience in special education

Responsabilidades

• Serve as the district representative at required meetings under IDEA and as 504 Coordinator.
• Fulfilling Roles & Responsibilities per the ODLSS Procedural Manual.
• Ensure IDEA and 504 timelines are met and parental notices are provided in the native language where feasible.
• Coordinate referrals for Full and Individual Evaluation (FIE) and ensure completion within 60 school days after consent.
• Chair IEP and 504 conferences and act as District Representative.
• Ensure IEP teams use data to guide service decisions and finalize IEP/504 plans in the meeting.
