Job summary

S&ME's Spark Summer Internship Program for 2027 invites current students to explore Civil, Construction, and Geotechnical Engineering with experienced employee-owners. Interns join a cohort for twelve weeks from May 2027 through August 2027, gaining hands-on experience, mentoring, and professional development.

Housing is not provided; travel may be required; housing stipends are not offered. The internship offers exposure across service lines and a path to grow within a leading, employee-owned

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a related degree program; Rising Juniors, Seniors, or Graduate students preferred.
• Related campus, community, or work-related leadership experience preferred.
• At least 18 years of age.
• Out of town travel may be required.
• For technical roles the ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions is required.
• Routine lifting may be required: 40 to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Work alongside experienced professionals in Civil/Construction/Geotechnical areas.
• Gain hands-on experience across service lines including Civil, Construction, Geotechnical, and Transportation Design-Build.
• Participate in professional development and mentorship through the Spark Internship Program.
