Job summary

S&ME invites applications for the 2027 Spark Summer Internship—an immersive, hands-on opportunity across Civil, Environmental, Construction, and Geotechnical engineering disciplines. You will work with experienced employee-owners and gain exposure to real projects within a collaborative, growth-oriented environment. The 12-week internship runs May 2027 through August 2027.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a related degree program; rising juniors, seniors, or graduate students preferred.
• Able to lift 40–50 lbs and work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Must be at least 18 years old and eligible to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Work with engineers on Civil/Environmental/Construction/Geotechnical projects.
• Learn about all aspects of S&ME while part of an intern cohort.
• Support technicians and professionals in field and office tasks across service lines.
