Job summary

Oak Street Health is seeking a Medical Scribe (Spanish Bilingual) to support primary care providers by documenting patient encounters in real time, coding with CPT and ICD-10, and preparing after-visit summaries. This full-time role involves in-person clinic work, with a focus on accurate, timely documentation and collaboration within the care team.

The position requires Spanish bilingual ability, strong listening and communication skills, and comfort with learning new clinical workflows; HIPAA

Qualifications

• Knowledge of medical terminology and common medications.
• Prior clinical experience (shadowing/volunteering) preferred.
• Prior scribe or transcription experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Documenting patient encounters in real time and produce structured notes (history, assessment, plan, exam).
• Assign CPT and ICD-10 codes and prepare After Visit Summaries.
• Provide administrative support (orders, referrals, tasks) to the care team.
