Job summary

Oak Street Health is seeking a full-time Medical Scribe to support primary care providers with clinical documentation, enabling focus on patient care. You will observe, document, code CPT/ICD-10, and prepare after-visit summaries across the patient care journey.

Ideal candidates have medical terminology knowledge, prior clinical exposure, and strong typing/communication skills; bilingual abilities are a plus.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of medical terminology and common medications, either from a pre-medical degree or prior clinical experience [required]
• Prior clinical experience, including shadowing and/or volunteering [strongly preferred]
• Prior scribe or transcription experience [preferred but not required]

Responsibilities

• Documenting Patient Encounters ~ 80%
• Clinical Documentation Improvement ~ 10%
• Administrative support for your provider and care team ~ 10%
• Other duties as assigned
