Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking a fluid systems engineer to design, analyze, and test fluid subsystem hardware for the New Glenn program. You will create CAD models, P&ID diagrams, and interface control documents, while performing FEA and fluid modeling to meet schedule and cost targets.

Collaboration with manufacturing and multi-functional teams is essential. Ideal candidates have a strong background in aerospace propulsion or fluid systems, 2+ years of related experience, and proficiency with Creo,

Qualifications

• B.S. degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or related field.
• 2+ years of experience in an aerospace propulsion or fluid subject area.
• Experience with 3D CAD programs (Creo preferred, CATIA V5, SolidWorks, AutoDesk).
• Experience with FEA tools (ANSYS) to analyze pressurized systems.
• Experience with REFPROP, SINDA/FLUINT and Thermal Desktop.
• Knowledge of propulsion and fluid system components (valves, regulators, pressure vessels).
• U.S. citizen or eligible to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Design fluid component hardware to meet cost, performance, and schedule constraints.
• Design and route fluid subsystems (pressurization, pneumatics, coolant, propellant utilization).
• Work with fluid components (valves, regulators, pressure vessels, instrumentation).
• Perform FEA and fluid system modeling and analysis.
• Create CAD models, P&ID, drawings, and interface control documents.
• Develop test plans and documentation for flight hardware.
• Coordinate with manufacturing during critical build phases.
• Support multiple concurrent projects with sustainable pace.
