Job summary

Blue Origin seeks a Fluid Systems Engineer in Florida to design, develop, test, and integrate fluid components for New Glenn and related programs. You will create CAD models, perform FEA, and collaborate with multi-functional teams to meet cost, schedule, and performance targets.

The role requires a B.S. in Mechanical or Aerospace engineering, 2+ years in propulsion or fluids, and experience with Creo, FEA tools, and fluid modeling. U.S. citizenship or lawful status is required.

Qualifications

  • B.S. degree in Mechanical, Aerospace or related field.
  • 2+ years in aerospace propulsion or fluid subject area.
  • Experience with 3D CAD programs (Creo preferred).
  • Experience with FEA tools (ANSYS preferred).
  • Experience with REFPROP, SINDA/FLUINT and Thermal Desktop or fluid modeling software.
  • Knowledge of propulsion and fluid system components.
  • U.S. citizen or eligible for U.S. work authorization.

Responsibilities

  • Design fluid component hardware to meet cost, performance and schedule targets.
  • Design and route fluid subsystems (pressurization, pneumatics, coolant, propellant utilization).
  • Work with fluid components (valves, regulators, vessels, instrumentation).
  • Create CAD models, P&ID, drawings and interface documents.
  • Perform FEA and fluid system modeling/analysis.
  • Create test plans and data reviews for flight hardware.
  • Coordinate with manufacturing and support multiple concurrent projects.
