Job summary

Blue Origin seeks an engineer to design advanced fluid systems for the New Glenn program. You will develop fluid component hardware and subsystems, create P&ID diagrams, and perform FEA-driven analyses to meet safety, cost, and schedule targets.

You will work with cross-functional teams on hardware design, testing, and production readiness, supporting multiple concurrent projects while engaging with manufacturing to ensure quality and on-time delivery.

Qualifications

• B.S. degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or related field is required.
• 2+ years of experience in an aerospace propulsion or fluid subject area.
• Experience with 3D CAD programs such as Creo (Preferred), CATIA V5, SolidWorks, AutoDesk or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Design fluid component hardware to meet cost, performance, and schedule constraints.
• Design and route fluid subsystems (pressurization, pneumatics, coolant, propellant utilization).
• Create CAD models, P&ID, detail drawings, assemblies, and interface control documents.
• Perform FEA and fluid system modeling/analysis.
• Create test plans and documentation for flight hardware development and production.
• Engage with manufacturing and monitor critical build phases.
• Support multiple concurrent projects with sustainable pace.
