Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking a proven leader for the helium system and fluid components on the New Glenn upper stage. You will coordinate design, procurement, analysis, and testing across cross-functional teams to deliver reliable, high-performance propulsion-related fluid subsystems.

You will apply your technical and process expertise to ensure quality and safety in a pioneering spaceflight program, contributing to the vehicle's complex integration and mission success.

Qualifications

  • B.S. in mechanical or aerospace engineering.
  • Experience with spacecraft or launch vehicle fluid systems.
  • Knowledge of propulsion and fluid components (valves, quick disconnects, fittings).
  • 3D CAD design using Creo; ASME Y14.5 GD&T; FEA reporting.

Responsibilities

  • Implement product definition, design, procurement, and production of environmental control and vent fluid subsystems and components
  • Conduct fluid and structural analyses to characterize component and system behavior
  • Coordinate with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure systems meet requirements and manage risk
  • Drive design for manufacturability and upgrade flight hardware through root cause analysis and cost reduction
  • Build and manage project plans including cost, schedule and risk
  • Oversee testing, verification, and data analysis for development and qualification
