Blue Origin is seeking an experienced CNC machinist to develop and modify NC programs for mill, lathe, and multi-axis machines for spaceflight components. You will work on low-volume, high-tolerance parts, ensuring first-article success and tight tolerance control.

The role requires 7+ years in 3-5 axis CNC machining, NX Cam proficiency, and strong GD&T knowledge. Shifts available; relocation provided, with a focus on safety and quality in a highly collaborative team.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience with 3, 4 and 5 axis CNC machining.
• 7+ years of experience with manual mill and lathe.
• 5+ years of experience with NX Cam highly preferred.
• Full understanding of GD&T and the tools to execute inspection.
• Thrive in a constantly evolving environment.

Responsabilités

• Develop hardware in parallel and in collaboration with Engineering.
• Machine product from cradle to grave: evaluate, select work-holding & tooling, program, setup, machine and inspect, while communicating with design teams throughout the entire life cycle.
• Programming, set up and machining of 3, 4 and 5 axis mills, multi axis lathes, and development of critical machining processes.
• Operation of other equipment as required, both NC controlled and manual.
• Work with engineering to document and standardize production processes.
• Partner with leadership and engineering to prioritize work based on production schedule and organizational goals.
• Ensure product quality and conformance to engineering specifications.
• Perform daily maintenance and regular cleaning of machinery and equipment.
• Perform all tasks in safe and responsible manner.
