Job summary

Blue Origin LLC in Washington state seeks an experienced NC programmer to create and optimize CAM programs for CNC Mills, Lathes and multi‑axis machines used in aerospace components. You will develop machining strategies and set‑up sheets to meet tight tolerances and support DFMA feedback.

Required: 4+ years in NC programming, GD&T per ASME Y14.5M, tool/fixture design, and MasterCam X8 or higher; Unigraphics NX; Vericut experience. U.S.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of NC programming experience.
• Excellent blueprint reading skills including GD&T per ASME Y14.5M-1994.
• Tools and fixtures design experience.
• Set-up sheet creation and management.
• Cutter selection and cutter design experience.
• Feed and speeds calculations.
• Experience with stainless steel and aluminum.

Responsibilities

• Create NC programs for CNC Mills/Lathes/Multi axis mills and multi axis lathes/VTLs.
• Develop machining strategy from design data to produce machined hardware.
• Develop and manage set‑up sheets.
• Collaborate with engineers and machinists.
• Design tools and fixtures as needed.
• Provide DFMA feedback.
• Process improvements in machining and admin.
• Ensure product acceptance per policy.
