Job summary

Blue Origin seeks an experienced CNC Machinist to develop hardware with engineering, running 3–5 axis mills and multi-axis lathes across life cycles. You’ll set up, inspect, and optimize tooling, collaborating with design teams to meet aerospace-grade specs.

Requirements include 10+ years in CNC milling/turning, NX proficiency, and strong GD&T/inspection skills. First-shift role; on-site at facilities in Florida. Physical and safety standards apply.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience with 3, 4 and 5 axis CNC machining.
• 10+ years of experience with manual mill and lathe.
• 7+ years of experience with NX.
• Full understanding of GD&T and the tools to execute inspection.

Responsibilities

• Develop hardware in parallel and in collaboration with Engineering.
• Machine product from cradle to grave: evaluate, select work-holding & tooling, program, setup, machine and inspect, while communicating with design teams throughout the entire life cycle.
• Programming, set up and machining of 3, 4 and 5 axis mills, multi axis lathes, and development of critical machining processes.
• Operation of other equipment as required, both NC controlled and manual.
• Working with engineering to document and standardize production processes.
• Partner with leadership and engineering to prioritize work based on production schedule and organizational goals.
• Ensure product quality and conformance to engineering specifications.
• Perform daily maintenance and regular cleaning of machinery and equipment.
• Perform all tasks in safe and responsible manner.
