Blue Origin in Huntsville, AL seeks an experienced CNC Machinist to program, set up, operate, and maintain world-class CNC equipment for turbine machinery components used in spaceflight. You will develop engine part programs in NX CAM, run complex multi-axis machines, and ensure first article success with tight tolerances.

The role supports Turbo Machinery for BE-7 engines and requires extensive CNC experience, strong GD&T skills, and the ability to work in a safety-focused environment.

Qualifications

• 7+ years related CNC experience.
• 3+ years’ experience with multi axis machines.
• 5+ years’ experience with CNC Cam programming.
• CNC programming skills, preferably NX 10 thru 2306 or MasterCam.
• Experience with Mazak, Hass, DMG Mori, Mori Seiki, Hermle, G+F and/or Okuma.
• Familiar with Fanuc, Siemens, OSP or other CNC controls.
• Excellent blue print reading skills including GD&T per ASME Y14.5M-1994 standard.

Responsibilities

• Program, set up, operate and maintain CNC machines to fabricate components for spaceflight systems.
• Program unique engine component jobs from scratch in NX CAM.
• Machine parts on complex multi-axis machines and ensure first article accuracy.
