Job summary

Blue Origin in Washington state seeks an experienced Machinist/NC Programmer to set up, operate, and maintain world-class CNC machines fabricating components for spaceflight systems. You will work hands-on with 3, 4 and 5 axis mills, multi-axis lathes, document production processes with engineering, and help prioritize work to meet production goals; strong GD&T and blueprint reading required.

The role requires 8+ years of CNC experience on nickel-based alloys, copper, aluminum, and titanium;

Qualifications

• 8+ years of CNC machining experience on 3-, 4- and 5-axis machines.
• Experience machining nickel-based alloys (Inconel, Monel) and other materials (Cu, Al, Ti).
• Proficient with Mazak, Haas, DMG Mori, Mori Seiki and/or Okuma machines.
• Working knowledge of Fanuc, Siemens, Mazatrol or similar controls.
• Excellent blueprint reading with GD&T per ASME Y14.5M-1994.
• Strong PC literacy and ability to document production processes.

Responsibilities

• Set up, program, and operate CNC machines to produce first-article parts and meet tight tolerances.
• Document production processes and collaborate with engineering to standardize workflows.
• Prioritize work with leadership to align with production schedules and goals.
• Ensure product quality and conformance to engineering specifications.
