Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking a Mechanical Manufacturing Engineer to translate engineering intent into on‑shop processes on the Blue Ring program at Huntsville, AL. You will support structure and mechanism subassembly, finalize hardware, and ensure GD&T compliance while driving DFMA improvements.

You'll collaborate across design, test, manufacturing and operations, develop work instructions, perform FMEA and align with AS9100/QMS standards, with a hands‑on role on the factory floor and a shift schedule

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Aerospace Engineering from an accredited university.
• 3+ years in manufacturing, industrial, or process engineering; senior levels require more experience.
• 1+ years creating English-language work instructions.
• Must be available to work B-Shift (M–TH, 12:00PM–10:30PM) with flexibility.

Responsibilities

• Translate engineering intent, drawings, and configurations into fully functional structural and mechanical hardware.
• Support the manufacturing floor in structure subassembly and final assembly with quality and timeliness.
• Support spacecraft mechanisms subassembly and final integration, including deployable booms and ROSA tooling.
• Develop manufacturing work instructions for receiving inspection, fabrication, assembly, integration and test.
• Perform FMEA and drive DFMA improvements across lifecycle; ensure GD&T compliance.
