Job summary

Blue Origin seeks a Mechanical Manufacturing Engineer to translate engineering drawings into scalable hardware on the Huntsville, AL floor, supporting structure subassembly and final assembly of the Blue Ring spacecraft.

You will develop manufacturing work instructions, perform FMEA, and drive DFMA to improve efficiency, quality, and manufacturability across design, test, and operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in mechanical, manufacturing, or aerospace engineering.
• Experience in manufacturing, industrial, or process engineering.
• 1+ year creating English-language work instructions.
• Willingness to work B-Shift (M-TH, 12:00PM-10:30PM) with occasional extended hours.

Responsibilities

• Translate engineering intent into manufacturing steps for structure and mechanisms.
• Support floor assembly and final assembly with precise alignment and testing.
• Develop work instructions for receiving, fabrication, assembly, and test.
• Perform FMEA and drive DFMA across lifecycle for manufacturability.
