Job summary

Blue Origin LLC in Huntsville, AL seeks a manufacturing engineer to translate engineering intent into hardware, support assembly and testing, and drive continuous improvements. You will resolve discrepancies, develop work instructions, and participate in FMEA studies to strengthen feedback loops between design, build, and test.

The role brings exposure to AS9100/ISO 9001 standards, BOM management, and manufacturing tooling needs, with potential relocation support and up to 20% travel.

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Electrical, or Aerospace Engineering from an accredited university.
• Experience in a manufacturing, industrial, or process engineering role.
• Ability to write English work instructions at pace.
• Comfort with GD&T, BOMs, and engineering changes.

Responsibilities

• Translate engineering intent into functional hardware and manufacturing instructions.
• Support assembly, integration, testing, and discrepancy resolution on the floor.
• Perform FMEA studies to strengthen design-build-test feedback.
• Drive DFMA across product life cycle and ensure compliance with AS9100/ISO 9001.
