Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to help translate engineering intent into flight-ready hardware and to craft BOMs, work instructions, and tool lists for our space‑flight hardware. You will work on manufacturing plans, duration estimates, and tooling, while supporting production on the shop floor.

This role emphasizes safety, continuously improving processes, and smooth transition from development to production.

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial, or Aerospace Engineering.
• Strong understanding of engineering fundamentals for mechanical design and manufacturing.
• Proficiency with CAD software and MS Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Translating engineering intent and drawings into hardware ready for test and flight.
• Identifying tools and equipment for manufacturing flight hardware.
• Providing shipside/lineside support on the manufacturing floor.
• Managing Non-conformance reports (NCR) and closures.
• Crafting manufacturing plan artifacts for new products (build plans, duration estimates, tool lists).
• Identifying and implementing continuous improvement projects for safety and efficiency.
• Transitioning from development to production and performing troubleshooting as needed.
