Job summary

Muon Space, Inc. is seeking an experienced engineer to design and implement guidance, navigation, and control architectures in an embedded C++ environment.

You will define ADCS requirements, perform GNC analysis and simulations, and contribute to the offline geolocation processing pipeline. The role supports software- and hardware-in-the-loop testing and requires strong Python/Julia/MATLAB skills and spacecraft operations experience.

Qualifications

• PhD or Masters in mechanical or aerospace engineering or equivalent; 2–3 years of professional experience or substantial hands-on GNC work.
• Experience in GNC analysis and design and spacecraft flight operations.
• Proficiency with Python/Julia/MATLAB for numerical analysis.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement guidance, navigation & control architectures and algorithms in an embedded C++ environment.
• Define requirements for ADCS algorithms, hardware, and related systems for current missions and roadmap development.
• Perform analysis and simulation of mission-specific GNC performance.
• Collaborate on offline geolocation processing pipeline development.
• Support software- and hardware-in-the-loop test planning, execution, and validation.
