Job summary

Muon Space, Inc. is seeking a GNC systems engineer to design and implement guidance, navigation and control architectures in an embedded C++ environment.

The role spans across ADCS design for precision pointing platforms, performance analysis, and flight operations support. Responsibilities include defining requirements for ADCS hardware and software, offline geolocation processing, and running software- and hardware-in-the-loop tests.

Qualifications

• PhD or MSc in Mech/Aerospace Eng, or equivalent plus 2–3 years of professional GNC experience
• C++ software skills
• Python, Julia, MATLAB numerical tools
• Stability analysis of flexible bodies
• ADCS for precision pointing platforms
• Spacecraft flight operations
• US government security clearance

Responsibilities

• Design and implement guidance, navigation & control architectures and algorithms in an embedded C++ environment
• Define requirements for ADCS algorithms, hardware, and related systems - both for existing missions as well as roadmap development that unlock new customer opportunities
• Perform analysis and simulation of mission-specific GNC performance
• Collaborate on the development of an offline geolocation processing pipeline
• Support software- and hardware-in-the-loop test planning, execution, and validation
