Job summary

Muon Space, Inc. seeks an experienced GNC engineer to design and implement guidance, navigation, and control in an embedded C++ environment. You’ll define ADCS requirements for current missions and roadmap development, and perform simulations of GNC performance.

You will collaborate on offline geolocation processing and support software- and hardware-in-the-loop testing and validation. Remote work from an approved location is possible, and a US security clearance is required.

Qualifications

• PhD or Master’s degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering or equivalent plus 2–3 years in GNC analysis and design, or equivalent hands-on experience.
• Proficiency in C++ for embedded control software.
• Experience with GNC analysis, control architectures, and mission planning.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement guidance, navigation & control architectures in an embedded C++ environment.
• Define requirements for ADCS algorithms, hardware, and related systems for existing missions and roadmaps.
• Perform analysis and simulation of mission-specific GNC performance.
• Collaborate on the offline geolocation processing pipeline.
• Support software- and hardware-in-the-loop test planning, execution, and validation.
