Job summary

Muon Space, Inc. is seeking a candidate who can design and implement guidance, navigation & control architectures in an embedded C++ environment for ADCS on spacecraft.

You will define requirements, perform GNC analysis, and collaborate on offline geolocation processing while supporting test planning and validation. A PhD/Master’s in mech/ aerospace or equivalent plus 2–3 years of experience, or extensive GNC hands-on work, is expected.

Qualifications

• PhD or MSc in mechanical or aerospace engineering or equivalent.
• 2-3 years of professional experience, or several years hands-on with GNC.
• Strong C++ software skills.
• Experience with control stability analysis of flexible bodies.
• Experience with ADCS of precision pointing platforms.
• Experience with spacecraft flight operations.
• US Government security clearance required.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement guidance, navigation & control architectures and algorithms in an embedded C++ environment.
• Define requirements for ADCS algorithms, hardware, and related systems for existing missions and roadmap development.
• Perform analysis and simulation of mission-specific GNC performance.
• Collaborate on development of an offline geolocation processing pipeline.
• Support software- and hardware-in-the-loop test planning, execution, and validation.
