Job summary

Muon Space, Inc. is seeking a GNC engineer to design and implement guidance, navigation, and control architectures in an embedded C++ environment.

You will define ADCS requirements for existing missions and roadmap opportunities, and perform rigorous analysis and simulation of GNC performance. Join a team developing geolocation processing pipelines and supporting software- and hardware-in-the-loop validation.

Qualifications

• PhD or Master’s degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering or equivalent plus 2–3 years of professional GNC experience
• Strong programming skills in C++ for embedded environments
• Experience with ADCS of precision pointing platforms and spacecraft flight operations
• Ability to analyze and simulate mission-specific GNC performance
• Familiarity with geolocation processing pipelines and hardware-in-the-loop testing
• Security clearance or eligibility for access to export-controlled information

Responsibilities

• Design and implement guidance, navigation & control architectures and algorithms in an embedded C++ environment
• Define requirements for ADCS algorithms, hardware, and related systems for current missions and roadmap development
• Perform analysis and simulation of mission-specific GNC performance
• Collaborate on the development of an offline geolocation processing pipeline
• Support software- and hardware-in-the-loop test planning, execution, and validation
