Muon Space, Inc. seeks a proactive engineer to design and implement guidance, navigation, and control architectures in an embedded C++ environment.

The role involves defining ADCS requirements for current missions and new opportunities, and performing GNC performance analysis and simulation. You will collaborate on geolocation processing pipelines and contribute to software- and hardware-in-the-loop testing, with a path to leadership in advanced space-domain control.

Qualifications

• PhD or Master’s in mechanical or aerospace engineering with 2–3 years of professional GNC experience, or several years hands-on GNC work.
• Proficient in C++ for embedded systems and real-time software.
• Experience with ADCS and precision pointing platforms.
• Familiarity with spacecraft flight operations and GNC validation.
• Possession of a US government security clearance is required or expected.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement GNC architectures and algorithms in an embedded C++ environment.
• Define requirements for ADCS hardware and software for current missions and future roadmaps.
• Analyze and simulate mission-specific GNC performance.
• Collaborate on offline geolocation processing pipelines.
• Support software- and hardware-in-the-loop test planning, execution, and validation.
