Job summary

Vast is building the Haven Station and related space infrastructure in Long Beach, CA, hiring a Manufacturing Coordinator to support Structures Manufacturing. The role ensures smooth progression of components and assemblies on the shop floor to meet strict deadlines and quality standards.

Reporting to the Production Manager, Structures Manufacturing, you will coordinate with purchasing, logistics, engineering, planning and procurement to flag shortages, move parts to outsourcing locations, and

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in manufacturing environment preferred.
• Strong computer skills and familiarity with MRP/ERP systems.
• Inventory experience.

Responsibilities

• Monitor, track, and move parts as required through the manufacturing shop floor to ensure timely delivery through completion.
• Ensure parts are handled in the proper manner to avoid any damages.
• Coordinate with purchasing and logistics to ensure parts are moved to outsourcing locations.
• Collaborate with engineering, planning and procurement teams to ensure that shortages are flagged ahead of time and delivered by the shop floor need date.
• Work closely with manufacturing management to ensure metric goals are met.
• Communicate part status and completion dates to customer.
• Assist leadership with projects and action items as needed.
• Support manufacturing shop floor with returns to inventory.
• Follow up with engineering on open issues blocking RUN completion.
• Assist in correcting wrong system data which is driving incorrect MRP signals
